We have found a new tradition. Baby Animal Days at the American Heritage West Center. This event was so fun and the kids loved seeing all of the baby animals. We were able to pet, hold and admire the cuteness of all of the baby farm animals. We saw sheep and goats:
... and little piglets. Colby was not so sure he wanted to pet the animals but Emily and Logan were not afraid. Then we saw a couple of baby cows too.
The donkey was not very enthusiastic for the picture... Probably the best part of the Baby Animal Day was holding the baby chick and ducklings.
The kids loved then and didn't want to let them go. To tell you the truth, I loved holding them too. They were so soft and fluffy.
We tried our had at rubber band shooting before heading to the other side of the Heritage West Center. On the other side, we saw more baby piglets and cows.
Next we waited in a long line to see the cute baby bear cubs from Yellowstone.
Too bad it was nap time but they were cute anyway. We now want to go to Bear World near Rexburg and see more baby bears.
We also got to see a snake (eww!) and then we moved to the Pioneer Encampment where we made handkerchief dolls just like the pioneers. The dolls turned out pretty cute.
No trip to the Heritage West Center would be complete without a pony ride. As you can see from the look on their faces, these kids love riding the ponies and it was the highlight of the day. We really like going to the Heritage West Center and they put on a lot of fun activity days and festivals so we decided to buy a year pass so we can come back as often as we like. What a fun place and a fun day.
