At the beginning of October we moved into a new house. (Well it is actually an old house but new to us!) It is a little two bedroom/two bath home in the middle of downtown St. George. We love the neighborhood but miss our old friends and ward terribly. Before we moved to Bloomington, we actually lived in a little apartment right behind this new place so we were in this ward and neighborhood about two years ago. Everyone in this new/old ward is so happy we are back. It is kind of bitter sweet for us because we are glad to be back in this ward because we know a lot of people but at the same time we are sad to leave our Bloomington ward.
Because this new house is a major downsize to the house we moved from (a 5 bedroom/3 bath) we had to get rid of a lot of stuff we had accumulated over the last four years we have been married. We decided to have our first ever yard sale to see if we could make some money on all of our old JUNK!
I guess everyone else thought our stuff was junk too because we didn't do very well on selling things. We only made about $100 which is good but we still had a huge box to take to the DI. The only things we sold were a TV, a sewing machine, and then a few odds and ends. One lady came looking for sweat pants and we didn't have any but she gave us $20 just for the heck of it! Russell told her we couldn't accept that money but she insisted telling him she wanted to help us out. Isn't that the craziest story ever! We were definitely grateful for her generosity.
We are finally all moved into this new place and I have to admit, this little house is much MUCH easier to clean than that big house in Bloomington. This house also has a lot of storage space, which is really nice. We are getting use to it and we think it will be a good home for the next few months.
