Easter Fun

It is Easter time again. I have made each of my kids a bunny basket for Easter. I should have made one for Charlotte last year but as you all know, last year at this time was pretty crazy. One year ago, I was diagnosed with cancer and just trying to function. But this year is much better so I finally got around to making Charlotte's bunny basket and it turned out so cute!

She loves it and has carried it around all day.

I was able to help with the Spring/Easter party with Colby's class.  The kids had a good time making bunny bags for their Easter Egg hunt as well as planting wheat grass and eating donuts.

After the party, we went to the spirit assembly where Emily received a Colt recognition award for being proactive and helpful in class.

That night we colored our Easter eggs. This is always the kids favorite part of our Easter traditions. They always get so messy!

This was Charlotte's first time coloring eggs and really getting into it. She was dropping eggs in all of the colors and having a great time. All of the kids made awesome creations and colorful eggs. They each got to color 2 or 3 eggs and they were all very colorful.

I think Charlotte's hands were yellow and blue for days. They other kids' fingers were colored as well.

The next morning we headed to St. George to spend time with family.  Before leaving town though, we went to the Hyrum City Easter hunt at the park.

There were a ton of people but we still had a good time. The kids each filled their baskets with candy.  We also saw a lot of our friends.
Charlotte was excited to see all of the candy because she is a sugar addict. Then when the bell rang get the candy, she wasn't sure what to do. Once I showed her to pick up the candy and put it in her basket, she was all for it.

We also got to meet the Easter Bunny! He was very friendly and gave all the kids high fives.

I think this Hyrum Easter hunt will be a new tradition of ours. We had a lot of fun.

Then we headed on our way to St. George.  We loved basking in the sun at St. George. We made it just in time for the Morwood Easter picnic at Santa Clara elementary. It was nice to see everyone again especially Grandma Morwood.

On Sunday we had the Easter dinner and egg hunt with the Morwood cousins.

This is always so fun to watch. There is always so much candy and the kids just go crazy trying to get it all. They go in age order so Charlotte got the first pick of everything. She was content with getting all of the suckers. Emily, Colby, and Logan just went at it gathering anything they could find.
No Easter Egg hunt is complete without Robin egg lipstick! Especially blue!
We had a great weekend in St. George enjoying time with family and celebrating Easter.
