What would summer be without the Cache Valley Cruise-In and the MDA Boot Drive breakfast on the 4th of July weekend. This year was a little different though because the Cruise-In and Boot Drive breakfast ended up being the weekend after the 4th. That was fine for us though; we went and had a great time. The kids liked going and eating the pancakes, eggs and sausage. Emily had been asking Russell for a month or more if she could help again like last year. She loved pouring drinks for everyone who needed juice. So once we were done eating, Emily and Russell went off to help and the rest of us soon joined in the fun as well.
We all had a good time serving pancakes and helping out the firefighters. After we had cleaned up we headed over to the Cruise-In to see all of the awesome cars.
We all had our favorites and got pictures by them. Mine was this tricked out mini van! The kids said we needed it!
Emily's was this cool pink hot rod and the boys of course loved the Bumblebee's.
There were a ton of cool cars at the show. We walked around for quite a while before we got too hot.
Another cool car display was the cars that were painted to look just like the cars off of the Disney movie Cars. There was Lightning McQueen, Luigi, Guido, Sarge, and of course Mater. They were pretty awesome.
That night we went to the actual Cruise. This is were all of those cool cars we saw at the show actually drive up and down Main Street in Logan.
It was fun watching all of the cars go by. The only thing I wish was different would be that the cars go slower more like a parade. They don't though. They drive by going about 25 mph. It is still pretty cool hearing them all rev their engines and speed by though.
What a fun day.
