The week before Christmas we headed back down to St. George to welcome home Sister Rebecca Hughes from serving her mission in Ohio. We attended the Morwood Christmas Party and our family Christmas Party that weekend as well. It was a quick trip down but full of activities.
Becca was supposed to be in St. George at 1:00 pm but at 11:00 am we found out they cancelled the flight and moved her back to 5:30 pm. Everyone was bummed but in the meantime, we went to the Morwood Christmas party and had a good time seeing family. The kids sat on Santa's lap and got their presents. Once 4:30 came around all the family made a mad dash to the door and headed to the airport. After we arrived at the airport, Lacie had some Becca faces for anyone who wanted one. The smaller cousins loved them and were running around the waiting area looking like Becca.
The time came, and we saw her plane land. We all rushed downstairs to hold up signs and put on our Becca faces. Once all the big hugs for the parents were over, it was picture taking time. Tiff and Cambree were the official video people and picture taker. It was good to see Becca home and excited to serve her mission.
Along with Becca, three other missionaries came home on her flight as well. I think we had the loudest and biggest group though. As you can see from the picture above, Becca had a lot of people there to see her home.
Lacie and the family had a fun time making cool signs with fun sayings. Some of them said, "Straight outta Church Rehab." "Out of the way I get my sister back today" was another fun one. It was good to see everyone there supporting Becca.
On Sunday Becca had her homecoming, and she did a great job with her talk. There was lunch and the famous Hughes Ice Cream after. Once that party was done, it was off to another party. It was Clint and Haley's turn for the Christmas party. They did breakfast for dinner. After dinner we had a great time playing the white elephant game. Then we headed home for a late night drive.
Welcome Home Sister Hughes!!
