Happy Halloween 2015

Happy Halloween from the Farnsworth's!  We had a great Halloween this year.  The kids loved dressing up in their costumes.

This year we were the Lone Ranger, Thomas the Train, and a cute Pioneer Girl.  Russell and I also dressed up as Tonto and a Pioneer Woman to match.

I made all of the costumes except for Logan's Thomas costume.  Our neighbor heard Logan wanted to be Thomas and willingly let us borrow her train costume.  Logan loved it and was sad when we gave it back.

We started our Halloween traditions by carving our pumpkins.

The kids were not fans of the pumpkin guts.  They didn't really like feeling the slimy insides but they finally did help Russell crave them a little bit.  We decided to make our pumpkin into a scary mummy.

It turned out so good.  We loved it.

On Halloween we started the day off by running the First Dam Scary Run and the Mini Monster Run for the kids.  It was a fun way to start the day,

After the run, we went Trick-or-Treating all day long.  First we when trick or treating at Lee's Marketplace.  Pretty much everyone in Logan had the same idea as we did because the store was so crowded.  The kids had fun though gathering treats and walking through the little spook alley.  Then we went trick or treating to all of the stores down Main Street.  Finally we came home took a quick nap before heading out again to trick or treat in our neighborhood.
Trick-or-Treating was so fun because there were so many kids in our neighborhood to go with.  We didn't make it to our whole neighborhood because the kids were getting tired but we made it to quite a few house.  Their favorite house was the one handing out cans of soda!  It was dark when we got home and time for dinner.  We didn't have many trick or treaters come to our house because we were out with the kids when all of the other neighbor kids were out too.   Needless to say we had a whole lot of candy!

So what do you do with all that candy?  Play Angry Birds of course.  We built towers made out of Dots and Milk Dud boxes then tried to knock them over by throwing Tootsie Rolls at them.  It was really fun.  We had a great time.

This was a really fun Halloween!
