This weekend was spent enjoying family and celebrating Kristy and Mike's wedding.
Kristy (Russell's cousin) and Mike were married for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. We had the great opportunity to attend the sealing and witness this great moment in their lives. The sealing was amazing and the sealer said some pretty amazing things. After the sealing, we all headed outside to wait for the newlyweds.
As you can see we all had a good long wait for the couple but we filled our time by visiting and posing for funny pictures. But finally they came out of the temple.
These two were so happy and gave hugs to everyone. We were all so excited for them and loved sharing their special day.
For the luncheon we all paraded to Pizza Pie Cafe for some yummy pizza. This was the second time this week we had been to Pizza Pie but that is okay, we love it.
That night was the fun reception. The decorations at the reception were so amazing. Paul and Charlene really know how to throw a party too. The theme was time and all eternity so there were clocks all over as well as pictures of the temples and love notes and stories.
Once again we all had a good time mingling and eating yummy donuts and hot chocolate.
The couple's first dance and the father and daughter dance were quite special to watch.
Cutting the cake was exciting too. They wanted to be nice but of course, cake got everywhere.
The rest of the reception was spent dancing. Logan even found himself a little friend and dance partner. They were so cute together holding hands.
Colby and I are not really dancers but we did have fun watching everyone else. Finally though he and I ambled out to the dance floor and danced one dance together. Russell and Emily had an incredible time dancing (and flying) together.
There was a big scramble for the bouquet but not so much for the garter. I guess we know who wants to get married next!
Finally the party came to an end and it was time to send the newlyweds off. We all threw confetti as they rushed down the stairs and into their waiting car.
And they were off. Congratulations Mike and Kristy Yapp. Good luck with everything and my you live "Yappily" ever after! This wedding was fantastic.
We spent the rest of the weekend watching General Conference. This conference was truly special because we sustained three new Apostles, Elders Ronald A Rasband, Gary E. Stevenson, and Dale G. Renlund. The third being named as the 100th apostle in this dispensation!
I love listening to General Conference and this time was no exception. The counsel given was perfect and just what I needed to hear. I know these new apostles will be just as good as the ones they replaced: Boyd K. Packer, L. Tom Perry, and Richard G. Scott.
