Happy Green Day. We got our green on today and had a great time enjoying St. Patrick's Day.
Unfortunately we took these pictures while Emily was at school so she was not in them. Aren't these kids super cute though?
Colby and Emily came home from school on Thursday and were so excited to make a Leprechaun Trap. Apparently they had made them at school and had to make one for our house as well in hopes of catching a Leprechaun.
So together with their friends Carson and Kaylee, they put together this awesome trap complete with bowl of Lucky Charms and pennies for bait. They were so excited and knew they would catch a Leprechaun during the night.
The next morning, however, they found this on their trap:
There were green footprints all over their trap, the Lucky Charms and pennies were gone and the sneaky Leprechaun left this funny note. "Lucky" the Leprechaun told the kids their trap was pretty good but no match for him. He thanked them for the treats and gold and told them better luck next year. What a sneaky little guy. The kids were bummed they didn't catch him but still happy to have come so close.
For breakfast we made green Shamrock pancakes. We love celebrating fun holidays.
