What can I say about this 9 month old baby except that she is the cutest thing ever! Charlotte is growing up too fast. I can't believe she is 9 months old. Look at this beautiful face:
At her 9 month doctor appointment, she weighed in at 20 lbs 15 oz (90 percentile!) 28.5 inches tall (75 percentile), and her head circumference was 46 cm (95 percentile!). As you can tell, she is a big kid! She has outgrown Emily and Logan at this age and is slowly catching up with Colby. Emily was this big at one. We don't care because we just love her chunky legs and her chubby cheeks.
This little stinker is getting a personality on her. She loves giving hugs and kisses and cuddling. She loves to just hold onto my neck and laugh as I pretend to eat her. She is also learning to blow raspberries on our arms too. She thinks that is pretty funny. Charlotte is such a lovable baby. She is also getting a little temper though! If something does not go her way she lets you know by throwing a baby tantrum and flinging her head back. (It is actually kind of funny.) Most of the time though she is just a happy chill baby. Give her some toys and some snacks and she is happy. Then she gets bugged by the older kids and she gets mad. I guess that is what she gets for being the baby.
Charlotte is a mover and a goer just not on her knees. She can roll like a champ now and get anywhere she wants to go. We had to get a gate for the stairs finally because she is on the move. Gone are the wonderful days of just setting her on the ground to play in one spot. Now she is all over the place. She hasn't crawled yet or even attempted to stand but that will come. She can roll and push herself up into a sitting position. She can also lean herself over to lay down without bonking her head. She thinks rolling is pretty fun.
Charlotte is a chatter box too. She can say mama, dada, bob, and she likes to grunt. She likes to be outside. This is hard because she likes to eat grass. Okay she likes to eat everything! She now has two bottom teeth and like to bite your fingers. It really is a habit we need to break because it hurts. She loves to laugh at her brothers and sister and gets really excited when they walk in the room most of the time.
Charlotte loves bottles and baby food. She especially loves snack time. She also loves eating anything we give her. I haven't noticed any allergies to food yet so hopefully she will be fine. Speaking of food, I have discovered the messiest food to give a kid, Red Vines. Charlotte absolutely loved this Red Vine but oh man was she sticky and messy and red! Best Treat Ever!
Charlotte has been the best sleeper of all of the kids. She is consistently sleeping through the night for about 10-12 hours. It is great. The bad thing is that I am still hyper aware of her so I wake up every few hours and go in and check on her. Every time she is still just snoozing away. In the mornings sometimes Emily will get Charlotte out of her crib when she wakes up and then puts Charlotte in her bed. I thought this scene of them sleeping together was picture worthy! So cute!
We love this happy little girl and cannot imagine life without her. Happy 3/4 birthday Charlotte!
