This year has been a very memorable year because of the crazy COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world. It has kept us in quarantine for the last three months. The Government and official leaders told us we need to learn how to social distance. This meant not playing with friends and seeing family for a bit. Washing our hands and staying away from going into town to get things was the new normal. During the pandemic, government and city officials asked people to wear masks if they were out in public. Since we were home and had little to do Tiff had fun making us all masks. They all turned out really good. My elastic was a little to small, so if you look closely my ears are folded inward and look funny.
We also found out another way to use our masks and that is to cover our eyes to sleep. We are such a goofy family. I hope everyone was smiling for this family picture.
We finally got really antsy being inside, so we decided to test the waters and go outside in the open. We got the fishing gear and headed out to Wellsville reservoir for a couple of hours to see if we could catch the big one. We found a nice little quiet spot away from other people and tested the water.
Low and behold Emily, Charlotte, and I caught a fish. Charlotte was so excited to reel in her first fish. Emily also had a new pole that she was breaking in and the first time she used it she caught this fish. Way to go cute girls. After fishing we ordered Cafe Sabor to go because all the restaurant dining areas are close and open to take out only. It was a fun night with all of us.
We came up with a lot of fun activities for the kiddos to keep them busy with fun times. The weather was perfect to get the outdoor fire pit up and going. They love sitting around it and cooking hot dogs and smores. Emily had an amazing idea about trying to put a piece of chocolate in the marshmallow to make the chocolate soft when you put it on the graham cracker. It was amazing. Good thinking Emily. We love our little fire pit. There has been many memories made with this fire pit.
There has been a lot of chalk used to make some amazing art work on the sidewalk the last few months also. Even Mom got into it and did this really cool sidewalk chalk art. She and Charlotte did a great job.
The kids also did a day where we decorated the whole driveway with inspirational sayings and cool happy drawings. The sidewalk was also covered with cool art work. We went through so much chalk that Tiff found out how to make chalk paint. It worked out really good. They all became little artists. I don't think there was a piece of concrete that did not have chalk on it.

HAPPY DAY for this beautiful and amazing Wife of mine and Mom to the kiddos. She did her last Zometa infusion for her follow up cancer treatments. Now she is officially done being poked and cancer free!
I am so proud of her and how strong she has been during this whole thing. She is a huge inspiration to me and many others. I love her so much and glad that the Lord let me keep her. She came home with a celebration bag full of goodies. Ice cream and cookies with red vines. We were very excited to celebrate this day with our Mom.
One day we got itching to go outside again and we got in the car and drove to the willow tree just inside the canyon by our house. The kids love climbing this huge willow tree and running around in the open.
We found a hiking trail and started to see where it would take us. While we were walking, we ran into four dead deer and one dead cow elk. We started to wonder if this was a bad area to be in because of the smell of dead animals. We went up about a half a mile and turned around to see a cool overlook. It is cool some of the things we are finding not that we have some time to play together and explore. The nice thing about all of this was the weather. It has been in our favor when we did hikes, but when we said lets go four wheeling, it was nasty, cold and rainy.
We have done many random and sporadic fun family outings. I have always wanted to get the kids out and shoot the .22 rifle, so that is what we did. We packed a lunch and snacks and once again up the canyon we went. It is so cool to live so close to the canyon where we can do this and not have to drive very far.
We set up water bottle targets, boxes and a little red target that went on the ground. We went through the shooting rules and it was time to shoot. I was really amazed on how all of the kids were pretty good shots for their first time. Logan was the best and luckiest shot ever. I asked him when he was shooting everything if he was aiming, and he looked at me and said what is aiming. We all laughed really hard. We found some clay pigeons laying around and the kids shot those. They also liked seeing the water bottles explode when the bullet hit it. Now it was time to bring out the dead eye contest. We had water bottles out and said we are to just shoot off the caps. We all took our turns and I was first. I took a few shots but I got it. Colby was next and he got it. Emily got her bottle cap after a few shots. Logan of course was his dead eye and shot it. Last was Mom's turn and we were all like good luck. She surprised us all when she took her first shot. She nailed it on her first shot and the cap spun off and did not touch the rest of the bottle. I videoed the shot and it was way cool to see how the cap flew off. We all hooted and hollered at the greatest shot ever. It was a great time and fun memories were made. Everyone had a great time.
The last little picture is of this cute little girl growing up too fast. She made it into the bathroom and got all prettied up. Look at her with her pretty lipstick on. It was a good spring time full of lots of fun activities and memories.
