It's back to school time! The summer went by way too fast. It was packed with a ton of adventures and memories but now sadly it is time for school again. The kids were not excited about going back to school Well at least three out of the four were not excited. Charlotte was looking forward to starting second grade. This year we have a sophomore, eighth grader, sixth grader, and a second grader.
Brooklyn is the only one home again this school year. This may be her last year home because I think she will start preschool next year. Wow that is a sad thought... Anyway, Colby was the first one to leave this morning. He is in 8th grade and starting his final year at South Cache Middle School. He was off to the bus stop before anyone else headed to school. The next one to head off was Emily. She is a Sophomore at Mountain Crest High School. Since this is her second year at the high school, she knows all about it. She walks to school each day since we live so close. Have a great year you two!!
Finally it was time for the elementary kids to head to school. As a tradition, we walked to school on the first day.
Logan is in 6th grade this year and starting his final year at the elementary school. He grade is the oldest in the school so they think they are the best. This year Logan has Mrs. Dixon for his teacher. She was also Colby's teacher so we know she will be great.
At the end of the day, Mrs. Dixon sent home some pictures of the first day of school. She knows 6th graders are too big and cool for parents to take first day pictures with their teacher so she took some instead. This is Logan with his friend Cooper and the rest of his sixth grade class.
Charlotte was so excited to start second grade and she could not wait to meet her teacher Mrs. Kendrick.
I was also so excited for Charlotte to get Mrs. Kendrick for her teacher. Logan had her in second grade so I know she is fantastic. This will be a great year for Charlotte!
Finally Brooklyn spent the day at home playing with Mom and Dad.
We went on a picnic to the Blacksmith Hydropark and Brooklyn had a blast climbing the big trees and running around being the center of attention. She was also so happy for the kids to come home from school. She did miss them.
Ever since the first day of school, Charlotte has been coming home and playing "school" with Brooklyn.
Charlotte is teaching her all of the good things about school like reading and story time and everything. Brooklyn loves it!
Everyone seemed to have a great first day of school. I hope this year is a good one for all of the kids. I hope they learn a lot and make a lot of friends. Have a great school year!
