Choir Concert

Charlotte and Logan loved being in choir this year.  For their final Spring Concert, they learned and performed songs by The Beatles.  Here is Logan to tell you about it:

This was my very last choir concert in elementary school. This year's theme for the spring show was The Beatles. I wasn't too excited about it because I don't really know their songs but, in the end, it turned out great.
Since it was all of the sixth graders last year there we were able to basically be the center of attention on the top row of the stage. We got more privileges for solos and more solos. My solos, in my opinion, were the best mainly because it was with me and my friends.  Yeah we all had to dress in tie-dye and every one thought it was cool.

Charlotte was also in choir with me.  She was part of a group dance called "Love Me Do." I didn't really see it but I bet it was amazing! (It was!)

Now it was time for my dance group preforming "Yellow Submarine." Most of the fifth and sixth grade boys got to dress up in funny hippy costumes and scratchy wigs and dance around with the music. This was so funny.
After we all danced around and sang some more songs, I did another solo singing "Yesterday." My friend, Bennett, also sang with me in this solo and (despite Bennett's voice cracks) we were great.

I was lucky enough to get to play on the drum set during the song "Ob Bla Di". I had a good time learning the drum set during te practices so I've chosen Percussion as my elective for middle school.  Percussion is going to be so much fun.
Choir has been so fun. I will definitely miss it, but middle school here I come!
Charlotte and I both did a great job and are glad we did it.

Good job kids!! I was also kind of nervous about the kids learning Beatles songs because... yeah the Beatles...  It ended up being really good though and the songs they performed were some of the fun ones.  We have been singing "Yellow Submarine" ever since. Ha!
