James' Baby Blessing

The first week of February was baby James' baby blessing. Everyone in the family was way excited to go on the family trip. I do not know if it was because they knew they were going to sleep in a hotel, which they think is so cool to do, or if it was to see their cousins. I think it was both. Before we went to Jen and Rick's place we went to Logan first to look at some houses to get a feel for what we are going to get ourselves into once we sold our house here in St. George. We saw a lot of awesome houses.  The kids did great being dragged around to 13 different houses in about 5 hours.  Our Realtor was very impressed too!  Once we got done with the house hunting it was off to West Jordan to see family. We had dinner at Jen's place and then it was time to party at the hotel. Ever since I was a kid, when we went to hotels we always brought our swim suits to play in the pool. Now its time for our kids to do the same. You can tell from the pictures everyone was having a great time. Emily and Logan swam around with people, while Colby loved staying close to the stairs and played with boats and the submarine that Alex brought to play with. It was great to have everyone in the Keith Farnsworth family there for the whole weekend.

After the pool we went and got baths and went to bed, and since we do not have T.V at our house we took advantage of it and watched a couple of shows until the kids passed out.

Staying in a hotel is a real treat for these kids; they love it.  I, on the other hand, am up all night worrying about bed bugs and head lice and other such nasty things.  Oh I am itching just thinking about it.  Russell tells me I worry too much.

In the morning, we got ready for the baby blessing and these two boys had a good time wrestling and playing horsey.  They were so funny to watch.  After checking out, we headed to Jen and Rick's house for lunch before the blessing.
We decided Logan should be able to open a few presents this day since it was his birthday!  He loved getting two new books and a Thomas the Train shirt.  He was so excited to wear his shirt, he started taking off his church shirt.

It was finally time for James' baby blessing so we headed to the church.  Because it was stake conference in Jen's stake, we got to have our own little meeting/ceremony for the baby blessing.  This was neat because we really got to focus on this special blessing.  Rick did a great job and gave a wonderful blessing.

Here is Baby James Keith Stewart with his two namesakes.  Great grandpa James Maxwell and Grandpa Keith Farnsworth.  It was cool to get a picture of all three of them together.

After treats and chatting for awhile, we decided to head home.  We had a great trip and a very busy trip too.  It was nice to be home.
