Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter this year.  It was kind of different though because we spent it in separate cities.  Since it was Emily's Spring Break from school, we wanted to go spend some time in St. George and warm up a bit.  Don't get me wrong, the snow did finally melt and it has been warmer but we still wanted to get a little warmer.  Russell had to work all weekend so we decided to head down south without him.  We celebrated Easter as a family on Friday morning before we left.

The kids loved their gifts from the Easter Bunny.  Colby loved his army men, Logan loved his cars, and Emily was excited about her Camelback and new fairy book.  She read the whole book on our drive down to St. George.
For breakfast we had bunny shaped cinnamon rolls.  They were so good.  After Emily got out of school, we drove to St. George to celebrate Easter with our family.
Saturday morning we attended the Washington City Easter Hunt.  This has always been a tradition and the kids were excited to keep it going even if we no longer live here.

They really cleaned up and got a ton of candy.  (Which I promptly took and filled Easter eggs for our family hunt the next day.  I know I am a mean and cheap mom but the last thing we need is more candy!)

Also at the Washington Easter Hunt, we got some fun pictures with the Easter Bunny and Alice.  Logan was so happy to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap.  He was even petting the Bunny!  Also being the flirt he is, jumped right up on Alice's lap for the picture.  Crazy kid!

Saturday afternoon we went to Santa Clara Elementary for our Morwood Family picnic.  We enjoyed spending time with our extended family as well as Grandma Morwood.  The kids were really excited to play with Brielle, Ryder, and Kelton again.

On Sunday we were able to attend the baby blessing of Josh and Hallie's baby, Rider.
She is so cute!!! (Even though she looks just like her dad... sorry Josh!)  Roy gave a great blessing.  After church, we all met up at the Firehouse Park for a luncheon and some playing and enjoying the SUNSHINE!!  My white winter skin even got a sunburn.  The kids had a blast playing with their cousins on the playground.  Here are a few fun pictures of this crazy bunch.

The last pictures are of the many faces of Logan and Cole.  They are best buddies whenever they get together.  Logan had a good time playing with his friend, Coleman!

After the park, we headed back to my parents' house for our annual family Easter Egg Hunt.  The grandkids look forward to this all year.

There were so many eggs and so much candy.  The kids gathered as much as could fit in their baskets and then some more.

We had so much more candy afterward the the kids didn't even realize I had recycled their candy from Saturday into the hunt on Sunday.

This Easter weekend was really fun.  We were sad Russell could not be there with us though.  We also spent the next few days in St. George for Spring Break.  We played with cousins, made some quilts, and I even got to have a Girl's Night Out with some of my old friends from our ward.  It was so nice to see them and catch up on all of their lives too.  This was a really great week.  We headed back home on Thursday so we could see our dad before he when back to work and so we could recoup from our vacation before school and life started again on Monday.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
