Happy Birthday Charlotte! I can't believe you are already 4 years old. This has gone by way too fast.
Look at how grown up she is! It is really crazy because it seems like this year she has really grown up and out of the baby/toddler phase all in this summer. Charlotte is very independent and if she can do it on her own she is going to do it. Even if she can't, she will try to do it on her own first before asking for help. She has really grown up.
This year her birthday was on Labor Day so we decided to hold her birthday party at Bear Lake.
She had a blast with her cousins swimming, kayaking, and playing. Cannon let us use his property at Bear Lake for this get together. It was really nice not having to fight the crowds. Charlotte wanted a Mermaid birthday because her party was at the lake. We made crab cupcakes to share and homemade ice cream. She came up to me one day and said, "Mom, I have an idea! We can make necklaces out of cereal!" So that is what she did with her cousins. They made necklaces out of Fruit Loops. We were glad the Stewart's were able to come up and celebrate with us.
On the way back home from Bear Lake, we stopped and the Phillips' house to see them and Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth. They were up for a visit. Charlotte was able to open a few birthday presents from them. She loved everything she received like Barbies, necklaces and beads, and more fun girly things.

The next day we had a little family party for just us.
We ate her favorite grilled cheese and tomato soup dinner, made more homemade ice cream, and ate her mermaid cake. She also got to open a couple more presents. We had a great time.
Like I said before, Charlotte is growing up too fast. She is now big enough for a big girl bed and she loves it!
We moved her into Emily's old twin bed and put away the toddler bed. She now feels all grown up like the rest of the family. Of course she has to have all of her dolls and stuffed animals in bed with her each night.
