Sadly when we woke up the next morning we were back in Long Beach, CA. Our cruise was over...
To make the most of our last breakfast on the boat, we went to the best breakfast place that served breakfast burritos, The Blue Iguana Cantina. These breakfast burritos were so good, probably the best I have eaten. We each got one because we knew it would fill us up for a while. This place also served great tacos during the day. Some of our other favorite places to eat were The Big Chicken that served yummy chicken fingers and french fries. I probably ate here once a day. We also loved the hamburger place, Guy's Burger Joint. There were so many good hamburgers at this place! Colby ate there everyday. The best burger, I thought, was the Ringer. This was made with fried onion rings and BBQ sauce and it was so good! We were not too impressed with the Buffet on the cruise so we didn't eat there very often except for breakfast. We did get our fill of ice cream and french fries though so that was good.
Anyway, back to the last day. We ate breakfast and got ready to leave. We sadly packed up our things and made our way down to the the exit. While we waited to leave we had to stand in a long line while we pushed all of our luggage along.
You can tell we were all sad to leave but we did have a good time while we were there.
Finally we made our way off the ship and back onto land. It took us about a week to get out land legs back on us. We kept swaying while we walked because we were so used to walking on the rocking ship. The vertigo was especially bad when we would stand in the shower or anywhere that had water. It was so weird!
We had a great time on our cruise. The Carnival Cruise line has not been our favorite but I think it was totally worth it in the long run. There were things we liked and things we disliked about this cruise line but overall it was an amazing trip and we are so glad we were able to go. Our biggest complaint about this cruise was the entertainment. There were not any shows or game shows that were family friendly that we felt good about bringing the kids to. This was disappointing because that is what we really liked about the Princess cruise line. The Kids' Zone was not the greatest either. Brooklyn and Charlotte seemed to have fun in their groups but the older kids did not like their groups at all. In fact Emily decided to go down to Colby's group because the kids in her group were "weird" she said. (And yeah they were.) Colby didn't like his group because he said all they did was play video games. Other than that we liked the cruise.
As soon as we got off the ship and back to our car, we headed for St. George to send a few more days with family before heading back home. What a great trip! Now when can we go again?
