Boo at the Zoo

Every year the Willow Park Zoo puts on a fun Halloween activity called "Boo at the Zoo."  We decided to dress up and check it out.
Not only did we get to play a lot of fun games, we also got to see all of the cool animals at the zoo.  Above is a picture of the newest animal at the zoo, the reindeer.  I was really surprised at the size of the reindeer.  I always imagined reindeer being as big as elk but this reindeer was only about as tall as Colby.

There were a lot of fun games to play and a treat to be won at each station.

The petting zoo was really fun.  The kids got to pet the goats and the donkey.
At the end, the kids got their fortunes read to them by the fortune tellers.  Their fortune was a day in the near future they would receive a lot of candy from their friends and neighbors!  Pretty accurate fortune, right?
After spending the day at the zoo, we ate lunch at the park and then had fun playing on the play ground.  As you can see, Emily and Colby learned a few tricks from the monkeys at the zoo!

I don't know if we will go to Boo at the Zoo next year.  It was fun to see all of the animals but waiting in line for all of the games was ridiculous.  We stood in line for over an hour just to get to the little games and by that time the kids were sick of being there so they didn't really care to play anyway.  I think we will just go to the zoo on a normal day and enjoy the animals rather than be crowded by all of the people in the Cache Valley.  Other than the millions of people, it was a fun day.
