The First Dam Scary Run 5K was such a good race. I ran the fastest I have ever ran and got a PR. I ran the 5K in 22:54 (7:23 min/mile) that is even faster than when I was running Cross country in High school. I was so excited.
Because of this, I came in as the second place female overall and won first place in my age group. I was amazed by those results. I have decided I really like 5K's.
Along with the 5k, there was also a little Mini Monster Fun Run for the kids.
They ran around the Merlin Olsen Park walking like a zombie, a cat, and even crawling through a big spider web. The kids had a great time and really loved getting the treats at the end. What a fun way to start out Halloween.
