Corn Maze Fun

One of our favorite Fall traditions is going to the Corn Maze.  This year the Corn Maze at the American Heritage West Center was in the shape of a buffalo and a tepee.  We all had a blast walking through the corn.

I was dubbed the navigator and lead the way through the maze.  Colby loved helping me and followed along with the map.  We each got to decide which way to go.  We walked through the buffalo's feet and legs then up to its ears, nose, and head, and then back down its other leg.  Then we were off to the tepee.  This one was easy because it was straight lines up and down the sides of the tepee.  At the bottom there were zigzags that the kids loved running in and out of.  Then to get out of the maze we had to go through the letters AHWC and the numbers 2016.  Russell and I had the kids try and guess which letter or number we were in by running around the letter.  They seemed to like this the best.

And we made it out safely without getting too lost.  After the maze, we had fun playing all of the activities they had at the maze.

There was pumpkin bowling, a cow bounce house, big pipe slide, and BB gun shooting.  There was also a hippity hop rodeo which is what the kids are doing in the pictures above.  They got to bounce around on bouncy balls (or cows) of all different sizes.  They had so much fun.  Their favorites were the bouncy cows.

Next we climbed on the hay pyramids.  The hay was so high but that did not scare these kids.  They climbed right to the top and yelled down "Take our picture, Mom!"  So I did.  After climbing all over the hay, Emily and I played a good game of checkers.  We finally got to a stalemate where neither one of us wanted to sacrifice our men so we called it a tie.

As it got dark, we decided to call it a night and head home.  On our way out we took some fun pictures in the props at the pumpkin patch.  We love these things!  We had a great family night at the Corn Maze.  It was a great way to relax and have fun after a busy day of making applesauce.
