Lagoon time! The Get Out Passes we got for Christmas included a free day at Lagoon so we took advantage of that and headed down there for a day of fun.
Everyone had their favorite rides they wanted to go on so we ran all over the park hitting all of the rides we could. The older three just took off and wanted to do their own rides. Russell and I decided to divide and conquer. I went with the older kids while he stayed with Charlotte and Brooklyn and did the littler rides. Charlotte was able to do most of the bigger rides with us as well so she is the perfect height to do all of the rides still.
Brooklyn loved going on all of the kid rides. The nice thing was the lines to those rides were really short, She would ride the ride, get off and run back in line and get on again. She loved it as you can tell by her big smile.
There was one ride that only Charlotte would go on and it was the Musik Express. This is a spinning ride and it makes all of us sick except Charlotte. It is her favorite. While she was riding, the rest of us took a break in the shade.
I can ride most all of the rides without getting sick but the Ferris Wheel is my nemesis. Thankfully the enormous Ferris Wheel was out of service so I didn't have to worry about that. However, Brooklyn loves the smaller Ferris Wheel called the Paratrooper. She and I went on this ride two or three times while we waited for the others to do Cannibal. I was fine until we got to the top and Brooklyn was swinging her legs and rocking the seat. Then I got looking down and that was the end. I got flushed, cold sweats and it was not a good feeling. I made her hold still until the ride got moving again. While it was going I was fine because the wind was cooling me down. When the ride stopped again, I was glad to be getting off. But then Brooklyn wanted to go again so I got a drink of water and got back in line... I don't know why I can handle every roller coaster but die on a kiddie ride...
We were able to ride every ride we wanted to including the few new rides that just opened. The first ride was Primordial. This one was new last year but it is still very popular so the line was quite long. It is a really fun one though so it was worth it. There were also two new rides near the pioneer village. These two are Steampunk themed rides called Steamworx and Time Tinker. We liked both of these though we were sad to lose the Log Ride which use to be where these rides now are. We were also sad to see that they have take out Cliffhanger. This was one our our most favorite rides and now it is gone.
Well it was a fun day of running around Lagoon getting to see everything we could. We ended the day with a relaxing ride on the Train and got to see all of the animals. We all had a great day.
