Hie to Kolob

Sunday was Stake Conference in our stake so we decided to be rebels and go on a road trip instead of going to church. We drove up to Kolob in hopes of seeing all of the fall leaves but we were too late and the leaves had already fallen. We still had fun though. We drove to the reservoir and had a picnic.
Kolob Reservoir

We invited my parents an my brother, Clint to come along. It was a lot of fun except for the cold wind!. Here we are cooking hot dogs for lunch.

Emily loved exploring the rocky shore even though she kept tripping over the rocks and falling down. She knew she was as big as cousin Taylor and wanted to follow her everywhere.

Russell even got to enjoy a few relaxing minutes of fishing... until...

...he caught this big whopper! (the bottom of the lake!) The snag took his lure so he was done fishing. Darn it!

Emily is all bundled up enjoying her milk after lunch. She wasn't too sure about the gloves. She kept shaking her hands trying to get them off.

Emily and Dad playing around as usual!

On the way home we even got to see some of the "natural" wildlife...a llama! Surprisingly, that was the only wildlife we saw besides some cows. I don't know where all of the deer were.
We had a great trip and a lot of fun with the family.
