Four Corners Monument

We got up really early the next morning to head out on our adventure. We had to leave even before the sun came up because we had four states to drive through!  We were heading to Four Corners National Monument.

As we were driving we passed Hole 'N The Rock.  I don't really know what this place was all about but they had a big sign announcing that there was a Hole in the Rock!  It turns out that there is a 5,000 square foot house built inside this hole in the rock!  We also passed this other arch called Wilson Arch.

We finally made it to our first state: New Mexico.

The entrance to Four Corners is actually in New Mexico.  Russell took this screen shot of the GPS on his phone.  We thought it was pretty cool that the marker located us right in the middle of all four states.

Four Corners Monument was really fun.  There was not a lot to do other than take photos of us in all four states but we had a lot of fun.

One thing the kids really liked doing was running from state line to state line and yelling, "I'm in Utah! Now I'm in Arizona!" or Colorado or New Mexico.  They loved it!

Can you believe I had each of my kids in a different state at the same time!!  What a bad mom!  It was also exciting to have our bodies in all four states at once.
Four Corners is a place I always wanted to see so I am glad we were able to come and enjoy it.  It is more of just a photo op place but still fun.
As we left Four Corners, we were on to our next stop in Colorado.
