Hardware Ranch Ride

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is the Holiday at Hardware Ranch put on by Hyrum City.  This year was once again an absolute good time.
The only bad thing about it was that there was no snow so the elk were not down in the valley.  Unfortunately we did not see any elk but we were still able to go on the hayride out through the field.  That was fun.

It was a good little ride through the field with our kids friends, the Andersons.

After the ride we enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate provided by the city.  We ate them as we made our way up to the Visitor Center to see Santa.
While waiting in line Colby and Logan had to see how they measured up to the golden eagle.  They are getting bigger but not quite as big as an eagle.

Finally it was our turn to meet Santa and Mrs Claus.
Colby told me that this was the real Santa because he had a real beard.  I couldn't agree more.  This is definitely the real Santa and Mrs. Claus.  They were so good with the kids.  Each of the kids told them what they wanted for Christmas.  I think this was the first time Charlotte has ever seen Santa.  She did really good and did not cry at all.

We love going to Hardware Ranch.  We will have to go another time this winter after it snows so we can see the elk.
