Prayers

Lately Emily has wanted to do everything on her own. She tells us "Emily do it, Mom!" Then she will get mad if we try to help her. She has also been wanting to say the prayer on her own. This is a typical prayer at dinner time:

Emily: "Father Hemam..."

Me or Russell (whispering): "Thank you for the food."

Emily: "DON'T SAY IT!"

Us: "Sorry"

Emily: "Father Hemam..." (pause) "Father Hemam... bless food" (then she lists what we are eating one by one and if she doesn't know what it is, she points to it and say "and this.")
"Christ, AMEN!"

Us: "Good Job!"

She will do the same thing for her bedtime prayers too. We will try to help her and she will yell "DON'T SAY IT!" Then mumble a bunch of gibberish in her own language (sometimes I can make out a few words like Mom, Dad, Emily, Family, Cousins, Class, etc.) Then she will say "Christ, AMEN!" She is really funny. I figure Heavenly Father can understand what she is saying so I'll let say what she wants.
