Living with Grandma & Grandpa

Living with Grandma and Grandpa Morwood has been so fun.  It took us a while to get used to it but we finally did.  Colby was so confused for about a week on where we were living and where he was sleeping at night.  We fell back into somewhat of a routine and it was nice not having to stress about showing the house, worrying about selling, looking for a new house and all the other fun stuff that goes along with buying and selling a home.  We just had to wait until school was out and enjoy our time with Grandma and Grandpa.

Here are some of the fun adventures we had while living at Grandma and Grandpa's:

First, the boys learned to be a mechanic from the best mechanics I know, Grandpa and Yoddie!  Colby and Logan were always outside "helping" in the garage.  My mom and dad recently purchased a new trailer and Dad was always outside working on it.  From welding on a new trailer hitch and picnic table holder, to building drawers and shelves under the bed, there was always something to fix or make.  The boys had fun helping out.

These are just some funny pictures of the boys.  Colby found the Coke box and put it on his leg pretending his leg was broken and the box was his cast.  He is so funny, where does he come up with this stuff?

Another fun activity was the parade:

Grandpa helped the kids make flags out of sticks and paper.  They were so excited about the flags, they decided to put on a parade for us.  They marched up and down the street, around the porch and on the driveway.  I even had to play music on my phone for them to march to.  It was so cute.

The kids even brought out all of their dolls and Grandma's stuffed animals so they could watch the parade too.  We really had an audience for this great parade.
We were setting outside on the porch swing one day and this hummingbird kept flying around us.  We couldn't figure out why the bird kept getting so close and wouldn't leave us alone.  Then we looked up and saw her nest!

We could not believe that a hummingbird had actually built it's nest on the chain of the porch swing!  I have never seen a hummingbird nest or ever seen a hummingbird up this close.  It was so cool!  I just had to snap a few pictures.  From then on we would go outside and watch the hummingbird set on its nest.  It was too high for us to see if there were any eggs in the nest but I am sure there were.  We could not wait to see the babies.
These cute little boys had so much fun living with Grandma and Grandpa.  Emily loved it too and would follow Grandma around everywhere and do everything she did.  All three of them would wave goodbye to Grandma as she left for work.  Logan had his signature phrase anytime he saw my mom.  He would say, "Hello, Gwamma!"  It was so cute.

Russell and I also loved playing Nines with Mom and Dad until midnight or later.  If the scores were close, we always had to have one more game until we had a definite winner.  It was also fun to play with Clint and Hayley.

These past two months had really been priceless memories for my kids especially now that we live so far away.  It was interesting getting used to living in someone else's home but at the same time, it was such a blessing.  Thanks Mom and Dad for helping us out while we were homeless.
