Happy Birthday to Daddy

Russell celebrated his 30th birthday this year!  Man, I married an old man!  For his birthday I gave him a bouquet of Dum-Dum suckers with a sign that said, "30 Sucks!"  We all had a good laugh at that.

Russell also got a new MP3 player so he can listen to music when he works out or is working in the yard.  The last one we had died in a watery grave.  Just so you know MP3 players do not survive washing machines...  Any way Russell also got a fun card from the kids with a big sticker badge that said "Ask me about my awesome kids!"  He wore it with pride all day.

For his birthday we went camping at Pine Valley with our ward and friends.  When we came home from Pine Valley, we invited the Farnsworth's over for cake.  Originally it was just going to be Russell's parents and brother and sister but then we got a call from his mom asking if it was okay if Ron, Kathleen, Robert, and Grandma Farnsworth come over too.  We said yes. Then we got another call to see if Wendy's family and Ryan's family could come too.  They were in town for the Pioneer Day celebration in Panaca.  We said the more the merrier but they will just get  a smaller piece of cake!  So we had the almost the whole Farnsworth clan at our house to celebrate the big 3.0. birthday!

We had cake, ice cream, and watermelon.  Emily and Colby decided that watermelon was their favorite food and they sure can eat a lot of it!  The kids were so excited to meet new cousins and have them play at their house.  We had a lot of fun visiting and catching up with Ron and Kathleen's side of the family.  (PS I don't know why Russell is throwing Kelton in the garbage but he said it was really funny.)

The next day (Sunday), we went over to the Farnsworth's for dinner with the whole clan again.  All I can say is there is never a dull moment when the Farnsworth family gets together.

We had fun playing with all of our "new" cousins.  We discovered that Logan's new favorite toys are paper plates and newspaper!  He loved playing with those things.  The plate alone kept him entertained while we ate dinner and dessert.  Russell and Tyler always have fun together but you don't want to come between them while they are rough housing.  Aunt Kathleen found that out the hard way.  As you can see she was caught in the double bear hug!  Emily and Colby loved playing with Wendy's kids.  Jaycee helped Colby fly like a superhero while Tyler helped Emily fly.

And of course, it would not me a Farnsworth get together if there was not some sort of wrestling match!

Tyler made the mistake of challenging Russell to a wrestling match.  As you can see, the 30 year old won the almost 17 year old!  And to top it off, Tyler got a wedgie and a fart in the face!  Yes!  After that everyone else went at it.  Poor Jaycee got the brunt. Being the only girl cousin (besides Emily), she kind of got ganged up on by the boys.  Luckily, most of them were her brothers so she pretty much held her own.  As the grand finale of the evenings events, the cousins created a human pyramid.  What a fun, crazy night!  Thank you Wendy for taking all of these fun pictures so we could remember the craziness.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!
