We love watching Mary Poppins in our house so when we found out Tuacahn was performing Mary Poppins this year we knew we had to go. Russell got a promo code from his work for $10 tickets to Mary Poppins so we jumped on the opportunity to go see the show.
My mom was awesome enough to watch Colby and Logan while we took Emily out on a daughter date. She absolutely loved the show especially watching Mary Poppins fly in with her umbrella. The show was really good but the weather was so hot. At intermission, which was around 11pm, it was 104 degrees and by the time the show was over at 12:30 it was still around 99 degrees! Yeah pretty much we were sweating. We did enjoy the frozen lemonades from the concession stand though and our frozen water bottles that didn't stay frozen very long. Our friends, the Whites, came and watched the show too and they just happened to buy the tickets for the seats right next to us. We didn't even know they were coming until they sat down next to us. That was a nice surprise.
I really enjoyed the show and loved the meaning behind it. We really do need to let kids be kids and enjoy them while they are young because they grow up so fast. We all need a spoon full of sugar once in a while to help us get through the troubles of life. And, after listening to the song, I think I can spell "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
After the show, we got to meet some of the characters. This first picture is of Ms. Brill, George Banks, and little Michael Bank. They all did an amazing job.
And of course we could not forget Mary Poppins and Bert:
Mary Poppins asked Emily what her favorite part of the show was and Emily said, "YOU!" Mary Poppins was very happy at that. They characters were all very friendly and made all of kids feel good to see them. We are glad we went to the show despite the heat and it was well worth $10 tickets. Thank you IHC!
