Colby's Blessing

We had Colby's baby blessing today in church. Russell did a great job on the blessing and gave Colby some great blessings including the ability to overcome any trial that may come his way, and the knowledge that he has a Heavenly Father that loves him and will help him.

We want to thank everyone that came to support us in this important event. We had a fun get together after church where we got to eat, talk, and just enjoy each others company. It was nice to have everyone over to our house. Below are pictures of some of the great people who came to celebrate with us:
First, these are all of the men who stood in the circle to help Russell bless Colby (minus the bishopric).

Second, is all of the Great-Grandmas, and Great-Grandpa. (or aka Nana and Grandpapa) Great-Grandma Morwood, Great-Grandma Farnsworth, and Great-Grandma and Grandpa Maxwell.

Third, are the Grandparents. (or Grama and Papa) Grandpa and Grandma Morwood and Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth.

Fourth, is our happy family of four. I would have kept Emily in her dress but she wanted to play with her cousins so we took off her white dress so it wouldn't get dirty.
Next are the four generation pictures. The Farnsworth four generation is full of Elwoods! Each of them has the middle name of Elwood (except for Grandma but Great Grandpa Farnsworth had the same middle name so she counts for him.)

Finally here are all 19 of the Morwood grandkids. Emily loves playing with all of her cousins. One night we were going over to my mom's to see all of the cousins. When we put Colby in his car seat he started crying so Emily ran over to him and said "Don't cry Brother we are going to see cousins! That be fun!" If I remember right, I think Colby stopped crying after that!
We had a good lunch/dinner of sandwiches and salads. (Thanks to everyone for bringing your yummy salads!) It was very interesting to see close to 50 people in my little kitchen as they all shuffled in to get their food and then back out to our backyard patio.

I am so glad it was such a beautiful day today. It had been raining for the past two days and I was worried that it would rain again today. If it had rained, I wouldn't have known where to put all of these people. Poor Russell spent all day out in the rain yesterday cleaning up the backyard and the patio so I was glad it was a nice day today.

Great-Grandma Morwood was having a good time holding Colby while everyone was outside. Colby must have been having a good time too because he was smiling, laughing and talking to her the whole time! I think it made Grandma's day. I got a few pictures of him while he was talking but as soon as he saw the camera, he stopped smiling and put back on his mad face.
Thank you once again for all who came to celebrate Colby's day with us including those who travelled to be here. We had a great time visiting with you and being together. Now Colby's name is official!
